What the recall says
Defect
Certain 2027 Telluride and Telluride Hybrid vehicles may have a driver seat-belt emergency locking retractor that can lock and prevent the belt from extending.
Risk
A seat belt that will not extend may fail to restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing injury risk.
Free remedy
Dealers will replace the seat-belt assembly free of charge. Kia lists SC372 as the recall number.
