VinSleuth provides free, informational vehicle data sourced from NHTSA. You may use it for personal, non-commercial vehicle research. You agree not to scrape, bulk-query, or automate access in a way that places undue load on the service or on NHTSA's systems — doing so is prohibited and may be blocked.
No warranty
The service and all data are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that data is accurate, complete, current, or error-free. Recalls and ratings come from third-party government sources that can lag or contain mistakes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VinSleuth is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its data — including decisions to buy, sell, drive, or repair a vehicle. Always verify safety-critical information with the manufacturer or a qualified professional.
