Reporting a data problem
VinSleuth shows NHTSA data as-is. If a recall or rating looks wrong, it may be a source-data issue — but tell us anyway and we'll verify. Where the fix belongs to NHTSA, you can also report it at nhtsa.gov.
Safety emergencies
VinSleuth is an information tool, not an emergency service. If you believe your vehicle has an urgent safety defect, contact the manufacturer or a dealer and stop driving if a recall advises it.
